A New Look at the Supply Side of Workforce Planning

This article, published in Fall of 2019, looks at looking at workforce planning from the perspective of the needs of the--at that time--limited available workforce. The advent of COVID has drastically changed the staffing needs of companies, the kinds of jobs that are available, and has skyrocketed unemployment into double digits. Many things have changed, and will continue to evolve as we move to a new normal, but, the opportunity to build a highly engaged and productive workforce will remain. The importance of flexibility, matching the requirements and the values of the company to the perspectives of individual employees will continue to play a critical role.
